Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 30.67 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 13.85 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 12.03 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 10.77 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 9.49 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 7.19 crore), Adani Power(numbers of share traded: 6.31 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 5.15 crore), Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 4.20 crore) and BHEL(numbers of share traded: 4.15 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 135.5 points up at 16793.9, while BSE Sensex ended up 388.76 points at 56247.28.

On the other hand, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.91 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.71 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.07 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 2.05 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
