Around 19% of licenced arms not deposited to Manipur authorities

Around 19 per cent of licenced arms were not deposited to the authorities in Manipur. The state will go for a two-phase poll to the 60-member assembly on February 28 and March 5.

An official in election Commission said a total of 18,120 licensed arms (80.89 per cent) have been deposited so far. On various cases and different reasons, 6,892 persons have been detained under CrPC.
