Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 2.70 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.60 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 1.51 crore), Shalimar Prod(number of shares traded: 1.24 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.14 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.88 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 0.68 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.56 crore), NCL Research(number of shares traded: 0.54 crore) and Sun and Shine(number of shares traded: 0.47 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:29AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 416.35 points up at 16664.3, while BSE Sensex was up 1359.39 points at 55889.3 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 7.91 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 5.97 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 5.36 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 4.97 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 4.95 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.13 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
