Venkatesh Iyer broke their partnership however when he got rid of Liyanage after which Dinesh Chandimal came out to bat.
Skipper Rohit Sharma introduced Ravindra Jadeja into the attack and the all-rounder duly obliged by dismissing Chandimal, and he even celebrated in style.

With trouble looming and half of his teammates sent back to the dugout, Chamika Karunaratne and Asalanka went out all guns blazing. Venkatesh Iyer got his second wicket of the day as he got rid of Karunaratne, but Asalanka continued to look dangerous.

He scored an unbeaten 53 runs in 47 deliveries alongside Dushmantha Chameera who hit 24 in 14 balls, but the pair of them couldn't help the visiting side chase down the mammoth total.
