The Bachchan clan jazzed it up for Anmol Ambani’s wedding on Sunday. Shweta Bachchan Nanda took to Instagram to share photos with her mother Jaya Bachchan and daughter Navya Naveli Nanda, decked up in bold-patterned sarees and wore chunky kundan accessories for industrialist Anil Ambani’s son’s wedding. And, the Internet, as always, was more obsessed when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s photo from the event, that surfaced online.
The photo of the ‘Kuch Na Kaho’ actress, posing with her husband Abhishek, and daughter Aaradhya at the lavish wedding party, instantly went viral.
In the photo, the 48-year-old actress is seen twinning with her daughter in identical-looking red lehengas. Abhishek Bachchan stood beside them in the photo, wearing a bright multi-coloured sherwani and donning a beige pagri. The Bachchans kept their masks on, maintaining Covid protocols as they posed with designer Shaina Chudasama Munot for the picture.
Anmol, son of industrialist Anil Ambani and yesteryear actress Tina Ambani, tied the knot with Krishna Shah, the co-founder and CEO of social media website, Dysco, over the weekend. The wedding was a fun-filled affair with several celebrities of Bollywood showing up for the event at Amban’s’ Cuffe Parade residence.
The bride looked stunning in a red lehenga with heavy embellishments, and the groom opted for a cream sherwani with a gold-embroidered stole and a layered emerald neck piece. Tina, kept it classy in a heavy red-black lehenga, and the Reliance Group chairman kept it simple in a cream sherwani.
Apart from the Bachchans, the star-studded event saw a number of prominent personalities marking their attendance. Nationalist Congress Party leader Supriya Sule, dressed in a blue saree, shared a picture on Instagram with the happy couple and their families.
On Twitter, Sule also shared an image with Amitabh Bachchan - who looked dashing in a kurta-churidar with a long jacket and a white-gold wedding safa (turban).
Meanwhile, Aparna (Pinky) Reddy, former President of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry FLO (FICCI Ladies Organisation), also took to Instagram to share a number of pictures from the grand celebration.
The philanthropist called the ceremony 'beautiful', and blessed the newly-married duo. She shared a picture with the 'super warm hosts' Mr and Mrs Ambani.
Nita Ambani and her daughter Isha also marked their attendance. While the Reliance Foundation chairperson opted for a glittering pink saree by fashion designer duo Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla, the Reliance Jio Board of Directors looked pretty in a pastel-pink sharara with heavy embroidery.
It was a happy celebration, not just for the families of the bride and groom, but also for many celebrities who got the opportunity to come together after a long time. Actress-MP Hema Malini shared a photo with Jaya Bachchan, and said that the evening was a pleasant one, where political party lines were forgotten and old friends came together.
