
Prime minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the Congress had made bandhs and blockades the destiny of Manipur, but the BJP's "double-engine" government, by ensuring stability in the past five years, has laid a strong foundation for Manipur for the next 25 years.
Addressing an election rally in Imphal, Modi said, "During Congress rule, Manipur only got inequality and unbalanced development. But in the past five years, the double engine sarkar of the BJP has made sincere efforts for the development of Manipur.I want to appeal to the youth and first-time voters that this election will decide the next 25 years of Manipur. We have begun with a process of stability and peace in the past five years."
