Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Tuesday at 11:15AM

Coromandel International(up 0.38%) were among the top gainers.

KRISHANA(down 5.32%), Sikko Industries(down 4.82%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 4.73%), Agro Phos(down 4.15%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 4.05%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 4.04%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 3.21%), National Fertilizer(down 3.01%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 2.40%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 2.34%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 225.1 points down at 16981.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 763.7 points at 56919.89 at around 11:15AM.

Eicher Motors(up 0.35%) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.24%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tata Consultancy(down 3.25%), Tata Steel(down 3.16%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.74%), UPL Ltd(down 2.58%), Bharti Airtel(down 2.42%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 2.4%), Tata Motors(down 2.36%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 2.15%), Coal India(down 2.08%) and Larsen & Toubro(down 1.98%) were trading in the red.
