Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: L&T Fin Holding(number of shares traded: 5.82 crore), Shalimar Prod(number of shares traded: 5.19 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 5.07 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.08 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.29 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.29 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.84 crore), NCL Research(number of shares traded: 0.46 crore), Inventure Grwth(number of shares traded: 0.44 crore) and Pazel International(number of shares traded: 0.43 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:15AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 50.9 points down at 17225.4, while BSE Sensex was down 127.56 points at 57705.41 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Shree Cements Ltd.(up 1.40 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.27 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.10 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.07 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Coal India Ltd.(down 3.62 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 2.12 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.98 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.94 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.69 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
