Realme 9 Pro Plus is the latest smartphone from the company and it brings flagship features to a very affordable price point. The new 9 Pro Plus is also Realme's latest bet on mobile photography, giving high-end camera users features such as a Sony flagship camera. Realme launched the 9 Pro Plus last week, and if you are interested in this new camera-centric phone, your wait to buy it will be over today.
The Realme 9 Pro Plus will go on its first sale today in India. Since this is going to be an open sale, anyone can go and make the purchase. However, know that the stocks may run out soon, so you will have to be very fast. There are many reasons why Realme 9 Pro Plus is worth considering, and I am going to list three of them to help you make a decision. But before that, let us take the price and other details out of our way.
The Realme 9 Pro Plus comes in three variants. There is a 6GB RAM, 128GB variant that costs Rs 24,999, a variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that is priced at Rs 25,999, and the top-end variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for Rs 28,999. The phone comes in three colours; Sunrise Blue, Aurora Green, and Midnight Black.
For today's sale, customers get a flat discount of Rs 2,000 on using HDFC Bank credit or debit card, as well as its EMI payment option. That brings down the cost of the top-end variant to Rs 26,999, which is amazing for a phone that comes with a flagship Sony camera. If you buy the phone from Realme's online store, you can use coupons to bring down the cost further.
1 - Realme 9 Pro Plus' biggest selling point is the camera. Realme has used a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor on the main camera, giving it the best mobile photography prowess that you can find on Android phones right now. It is the flagship Sony sensor that we have seen on phones such as OnePlus 9 Pro and Oppo Find X3 Pro. In my review of the Realme 9 Pro Plus, I mentioned how amazingly detailed the photos clicked by this camera look. The night mode of the phone works well, too. This phone is going to appeal to shutterbugs specifically.
2 - The Realme 9 Pro Plus comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, which is a slightly better version of the Dimensity 900. Performance on the phone is reasonably good, especially for multitasking. Gaming is also fine on the phone, but I must tell you that hardcore gamers may not like this phone. This is not a gaming phone, which is why it is a little hard to recommend this phone to gamers.
3 - Realme used a big 6.4-inch display on the 9 Pro Plus. It will appeal to people who love binge-watching movies and shows on their mobile phones. Enhancing that experience is an AMOLED panel that brings out infinite blacks and rich colours. The 90Hz refresh rate makes animations and scrolling on the phone look smoother, but games such as Battlegrounds Mobile India will still run at 60Hz, which is why I said earlier that gamers will not like this phone.
