NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Monday.

Shares of Godrej Properties(up 1.16 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 0.35 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 0.32 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.19 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.13 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate(down 14.93 per cent), DLF(down 3.66 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(down 0.18 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 1.36 per cent down at 442.9.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 69.65 points at 17206.65, while the BSE Sensex stood down 149.38 points at 57683.59.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 ended in the green, while 39 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Suzlon Energy, Adani Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Richa Info Systems Ltd., Chalet Hotels, Linc Pen Plast, Agri-Tech(India)and Linde India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Dhani Ibull Ventures, Atal Realtech, SORIL Infra Resourc, Indiabulls Intgrtd and Bliss GVS Pharma hit their fresh 52-week lows.
