Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: TCS(Rs. 2797.13 crore), RIL(Rs. 1234.91 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1116.69 crore), Adani Power(Rs. 979.71 crore), Infosys(Rs. 879.78 crore), SBI(Rs. 863.28 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 827.65 crore), HDFC(Rs. 724.85 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 591.63 crore) and Ibull Housing Fin(Rs. 579.48 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 69.65 points down at 17206.65, while BSE Sensex fell 149.38 points to 57683.59.

In the Nifty index, Wipro Ltd.(up 1.48 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 1.39 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd.(up 1.35 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Coal India Ltd.(down 3.65 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 3.32 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 2.87 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.68 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.25 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
