The voting in the urban civic polls in Tamil Nadu began on Saturday at 7 AM across the state amid tight police security/. Toll in Brazil mudslides rises to 130
The number of fatalities due to floods and mudslides in Petropolis, a town in southeast Brazil's Rio de Janeiro state, rose to 130 on Friday, according to local authorities. Truckers' protest: Canadian police arrest 70 protestors

PM to inaugurate Bio-CNG plant in Indore today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the "Gobar-Dhan (Bio-CNG) Plant" in Indore on Saturday at 1 pm through video conferencing. The plant has the capacity to treat 550 tonnes per day of segregated wet organic waste. It is expected to produce around 17,000 kg per day of CNG and 100 tonnes per day of organic compost, the PMO informed.
