Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Friday at 11:20AM

Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 4.10%), Sikko Industries(up 1.08%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 0.89%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.52%), KRISHANA(up 0.43%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 0.42%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 0.33%), Agro Phos(up 0.22%) and Coromandel International(up 0.07%) were among the top gainers.

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.26%), Aries Agro(down 1.87%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 1.68%), G S F C(down 1.34%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 1.15%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 1.02%), Madras Fertlizers(down 0.89%), National Fertilizer(down 0.80%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.67%) and ZUARIAGRO(down 0.29%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 14.15 points up at 17318.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 66.7 points at 57958.71 at around 11:20AM.

Coal India(up 1.93%), SBI Life(up 1.9%), HDFC(up 1.29%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.23%), Tata Steel(up 1.01%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.89%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.63%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.62%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.61%) and State Bank of India(up 0.53%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Cipla(down 2.34%), Divis Laboratories(down 2.12%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.83%), Shree Cement(down 1.76%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.16%), Nestle India(down 1.15%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.81%), Infosys(down 0.77%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.75%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.58%) were trading in the red.
