Domestic benchmark index NSE Nifty gained 5.85 points to 17310.45, while the BSE Sensex traded 25.27 points up at 57917.28.
On the other hand, Times Guaranty, Everest Ind, IVP Ltd, Monarch Networth and International Constructions Ltd. stocks hit their fresh 52-week highs today.
In the Nifty 50 index, Coal India Ltd, Power Grid, L&T, SBI Life and Tata Steel were among the top gainers on the NSE.
Cipla, Divis Labs, Shree Cements, ONGC and UltraTech Cem. were among the top losers.
