Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's latest release 'Gehraiyaan' has been making all kinds of noise on the Internet for its complex story and drama.
The film, directed by Shakun Batra, also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa and tells the story about woman (Padukone), who finds herself pushed to a corner after her six relationship goes monotonous and her career stale. Until her cousin (Panday) and her boyfriend (Chaturvedi) arrive in her life and shake things up.
The 36-year-old actress plays the role of Alisha and apart from the film's soulful soundtrack, her performance is also being applauded from all corners of the country.
To thank the audience for showering her with kind compliments and the praise, the actress took to her official Instagram handle to express her gratitude with a note.
Padukone called the journey of playing Alisha in the movie the most "visceral, indelible and delicious experience" as an artist.
"The response to Gehraiyaan has been dizzying to say the least! 'Alisha' has been my most visceral, indelible and delicious experience as an artist. While I am ecstatic and overwhelmed, I am also truly grateful and humbled!" Padukone wrote on Instagram alongside several snapshots from the film.
The Batra directorial focuses on a lot of series topics such as mental health, childhood trauma, infidelity and more. The film, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor.
