HPCL shares drop 0.2% as Sensex rises

Shares of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. traded at Rs 303.8 on BSE at 11:37AM (IST) on Thursday, down 0.2 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 223.0 and a high of Rs 354.55.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 5.19 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 58.77 per share and 0.89 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 34,412 shares changed hands on the counter till 11:37AM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 43244.45 crore and is part of the Oil Refining & Marketing industry.

The scrip has been an outperformer , up 29.74 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 12.72 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 307.0 and Rs 302.1.

Promoters held 54.9 per cent in the company as of 31-Dec-2021. FII and MF ownership in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. stood at 20.19 per cent and 10.75 per cent, respectively.
