ReutersNEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:19AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.
Cipla(up 1.95 per cent), Gland Pharma(up 1.09 per cent), Divis Laboratories(up 0.49 per cent) and Cadila Healthcare(up 0.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Alembic Pharmaceuticals(down 1.79 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(down 1.79 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 1.61 per cent), Natco Pharma(down 1.33 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals(down 1.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.04 per cent at 13419.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 5.35 points at 17316.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 85.41 points at 57911.27.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, Adani Power, Vodafone Idea, BHEL and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of IVP Ltd, Times Guaranty, Mawana Sugars, Megastar Foods and Precision Metaliks Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Crown Lifters, Manappuram Finance, GE Power India, AGC Networks and P&G Health hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
