The Income Tax Department on Thursday searched properties of Chitra Ramkrishna, the former chief executive of the National Stock Exchange, for alleged evasion. India’s markets regular last week imposed a penalty of Rs 3 crore on Ramkrishna in a fresh order in the co-location case. It also faulted Ramkrishna for running the exchange at the behest of a mysterious yogi.

The Supreme Court has set aside a High Court order setting aside the Haryana government decision to reserve 75 per cent jobs in the private sector for residents of the state. The Supreme Court on Thursday asked Haryana not to take coercive action against employers, PTI reported.
