Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 11:31AM

Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 8.18%), ZUARIAGRO(up 8.14%), G S F C(up 5.55%), Madras Fertlizers(up 3.78%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 3.67%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 3.13%), Sikko Industries(up 3.08%), Aries Agro(up 2.60%), National Fertilizer(up 2.29%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 2.23%) were among the top gainers.

KRISHANA(down 1.61%) and Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.93%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 31.3 points down at 17321.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 158.55 points at 57983.5 at around 11:31AM.

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.75%), Grasim Industries(up 2.02%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.95%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.92%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 1.52%), HDFC(up 1.48%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.41%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.22%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.07%) and Hero MotoCorp(up 1.04%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.9%), State Bank of India(down 1.41%), Eicher Motors(down 1.34%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.29%), ICICI Bank(down 1.11%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.94%), SBI Life(down 0.8%), Wipro(down 0.76%), Britannia Industries(down 0.76%) and Bajaj Finance(down 0.73%) were trading in the red.
