Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Tata Power(Rs. 40.34 crore), Vedant Fashions Ltd.(Rs. 32.84 crore), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 30.64 crore), TCS(Rs. 28.73 crore), Tata Tele(Rs. 28.05 crore), Suzlon Energy(Rs. 27.17 crore), M&M Financial(Rs. 22.29 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 22.22 crore), Adani Power(Rs. 17.20 crore) and IRCTC(Rs. 16.39 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:55AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 45.0 points down at 17307.45, while BSE Sensex was down 204.16 points at 57937.89 as of 10:55AM(IST)on February 16.

In the Nifty index, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 3.66 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.99 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.80 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.46 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.38 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.24 per cent), State Bank of India(down 1.51 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent) were among the top losers.
