ThinkStock PhotosNEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Maruti Interior Products Ltd.(30.73%), Times Guaranty(20.0%), Krebs Biochem(19.99%), Almondz Global(19.98%), Glance Finance(19.93%), Unique Organics(19.87%), Keynote Financial(19.84%), IVP Ltd(19.82%), Shreyans Ind(19.63%) and Mawana Sugars(19.48%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 145.37 points down at 57996.68, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 30.25 points down at 17322.2.
In the Nifty50 index, 21 stocks closed in the green, while 29 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Maruti Interior Products Ltd., Unique Organics, Keynote Financial, Kenvi Jewels and Mirza Intnl hit their fresh 52-week high, while Fabino Life Sciences Ltd., Roselabs Fin, Muthoot Capital, Shyamkamal Invst and Niyogin Fintech touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
