Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Maruti Interior Products Ltd.(up 30.73%), Krebs Biochem(up 19.99%), Mawana Sugars(up 19.97%), Glance Finance(up 19.93%), Unique Organics(up 19.87%), Almondz Global(up 18.79%), Keynote Financial(up 18.39%) and IVP Ltd(up 15.79%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 90.33 points down at 58051.72, while the 50-share index, NSE was 16.9 points down at 17335.55.
In the Nifty50 index, 23 stocks traded in the green, while 26 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Maruti Interior Products Ltd., Unique Organics, Keynote Financial, Mirza Intnl and Zuari Global hit their fresh 52-week high, while Multipurp Trad, Brandbucket Media & Technology Ltd., Roselabs Fin, Essel Propack and Niyogin Fintech touched their new 52-week low during the session.
