Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:24AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Mahindra & Mahindra(up 2.34 per cent), Amara Raja Batteries(up 1.88 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.11 per cent), Bosch(up 0.88 per cent) and Exide Industries(up 0.82 per cent) were among the top gainers.
TIINDIA(down 1.09 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(down 0.91 per cent), Eicher Motors(down 0.81 per cent), Tata Motors(down 0.3 per cent) and Ashok Leyland(down 0.19 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.37 per cent at 11595.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 17.35 points at 17369.8, while the BSE Sensex was down 5.0 points at 58137.05.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, JP Power, YES Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Fiberweb India, Megastar Foods, Keynote Financial, Vedant Fashions Ltd. and Guj Mineral Dev. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Timescan Logistics(India)Ltd., Crown Lifters, Dynamic Services & Security Ltd., Innovative Tyres & T and Essel Propack hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
