Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1736.21 points up at 58142.05 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, KG Petrochem(down 17.19 per cent), Jindal Pol Film(down 16.98 per cent), Hindustan Tin(down 13.43 per cent), Artemis Electricals(down 12.49 per cent) and Repco Home Fin(down 11.65 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 48 stocks closed in the green, while 2 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 509.65 points up at 17352.45.
On the BSE, Repco Home Fin, Manappuram Finance, Source Natural, Tyche Inds and Fino Payments Bank Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Unique Organics, Tai Industries, Vistar Amar, RMC Switchgears and Megastar Foods touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
