Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 5.25 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 3.77 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 3.03 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.05 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.75 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 1.29 crore), Adani Power(number of shares traded: 1.16 crore), Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 1.07 crore), Manappuram Finance(number of shares traded: 1.05 crore) and Tata Power(number of shares traded: 0.90 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 39.8 points up at 16882.6, while BSE Sensex was up 185.29 points at 56591.13 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.64 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd.(up 1.42 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.33 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Cipla Ltd.(down 3.41 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.65 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.42 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
