Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: HDFC(Rs. 2121.66 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1488.85 crore), TCS(Rs. 1487.85 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1433.70 crore), RIL(Rs. 1232.18 crore), SBI(Rs. 1216.99 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 1201.46 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 985.08 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 939.06 crore) and Zomato Ltd.(Rs. 841.98 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 509.65 points up at 17352.45, while BSE Sensex rose 1736.21 points to 58142.05.
In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 6.90 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 5.96 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd.(up 5.60 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 5.25 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 4.91 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 3.46 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
