Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 6.89 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 6.53 crore), Shalimar Prod(numbers of share traded: 5.30 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 3.19 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 3.07 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 2.27 crore), Cipla(numbers of share traded: 2.12 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.94 crore), Inventure Grwth(numbers of share traded: 1.63 crore) and NCL Research(numbers of share traded: 1.60 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 509.65 points up at 17352.45, while BSE Sensex ended up 1736.21 points at 58142.05.

On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 3.46 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
