YouTube has suspended the account of Sansad TV "for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines". Sansad TV broadcasts live proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha as well as recorded programmes.
The YouTube account of Sansad TV showed a "404 error" with a message, "This page isn’t available. Sorry about that. Try searching for something else".
Later, the streaming platform mentioned on the Sansad TV channel, " The video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated". It remains unclear why YouTube has suspended Sansad TV account. However, as per the YouTube's guidelines, the video streaming platform informs when a channel is terminated, the channel owner gets an email explaining the reason for the termination.
According to YouTube, reasons why a channel or account gets terminated is because of--repeated violations of the Community Guidelines or Terms of Service across any form of content (like repeatedly posting abusive, hateful, and/or harassing videos or comments). Abusive content, spam and deceptive practices, self-injury, pornography, hate speech, harassment, or impersonation among others are the reasons for which YouTube suspends an account.
“Our policies aim to make YouTube a safer community while still giving creators the freedom to share a broad range of experiences and perspectives," YouTube’s community guidelines note.
