Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 12.53%), 20 Microns(up 3.00%), Aro Granite Industries(up 2.73%), Ashapura Minechem(up 2.03%), Pokarna(up 1.68%), Coal India(up 1.24%) and MOIL(up 0.91%) stood among the top gainers.
Lexus Granito(down 4.87%), NMDC Ltd(down 2.26%), Oriental Trimex(down 1.26%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 1.07%), KIOCL(down 1.07%) and Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.02%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 509.65 points up at 17352.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 1736.21 points at 58142.05.
Tata Motors(up 6.9%), Eicher Motors(up 5.96%), Shree Cement(up 5.6%), Bajaj Finance(up 5.25%), Hero MotoCorp(up 4.91%), State Bank of India(up 4.67%), Bajaj Finserv(up 4.47%), Larsen & Toubro(up 4.28%), Grasim Industries(up 4.21%) and Titan Company Ltd(up 4.08%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Cipla(down 3.46%) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.23%) closed in the red.
