    What stock market investors can expect from Q4 basis corporate earnings performance in Q3 of FY21-22

    Synopsis

    There is some demand slowdown after the festive season and due to this, the fourth quarter numbers also may not be that great. The fall in rural demand, which has been going on for the last 2-3 months, is expected to bring down the growth rate a bit in the fourth quarter.

    With aggregate revenue and net profit growth of 19.68% and 33.96% respectively, India Inc has reported high earnings growth for the third quarter of 2021-22. However, this earnings growth was slightly below expectations. Due to low base effect, the earnings growth in this quarter was expected to be over 35%. “While the average sales growth was in line with expectations, bottom line growth was impacted by input cost pressures,” says S.
