Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 3.57 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 2.52 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.93 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.73 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.64 crore), Sun Tech Over(number of shares traded: 0.57 crore), Pazel International(number of shares traded: 0.43 crore), Sintex Inds.(number of shares traded: 0.37 crore), Shalimar Prod(number of shares traded: 0.34 crore) and Inventure Grwth(number of shares traded: 0.32 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:14AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 339.15 points down at 17035.6, while BSE Sensex was down 1113.06 points at 57039.86 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 2.37 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.96 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up -0.12 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up -0.62 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up -0.69 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While JSW Steel Ltd.(down 5.08 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 4.42 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 4.26 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 3.88 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 3.47 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
