IRCTC has decides to re-start to provide food facility in all trains for the passengers from today onwards. The service was paused from 20 March 2020 due to pandemic.

The Indian Railways from February 14 is going to resume its food facilty for passengers. Now, cooked food is being provided to the passengers in all trains. It is noteworthy that on 23 March 2020, the catering services were suspended by the Railways due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a situation with declining corona cases, the pace of life is accelerating. In this view along with the relaxation of Covid restrictions, it has been decided by the Railways to completely restore the service of cooked food in the train. All preparations have been made by IRCTC to provide cooked food again in trains. And from today this service has been started.
Cooked food service was started in 80 per cent of trains from 22 January after the reduction in corona cases. Now this facility has started in the remaining trains also. At the same time, the facility of cooked food in premium trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto has started from December 21. After this step of the Railways, passengers are expected to get a big relief.
Apart from this, a step was taken by the railways regarding the cleanliness of the stations earlier. According to the new rule, if any person is seen spreading filth in the railway premises, strict action will be taken against him. National Green Tribunal has taken steps for the people who spread the dirt, under this, now strict action will be taken against the people who spread the garbage.
