
NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Vistar Amar (up 19.95%), IVP Ltd(up 15.92%) and NDTV(up 15.35%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 854.35 points down at 58071.68, while the 50-share index, NSE was 260.6 points down at 17345.25.
In the Nifty50 index, 4 stocks traded in the green, while 46 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as NDTV, Sky Gold, Speciality Rest, Shalibhadra Fin and Mahalaxmi Rub hit their fresh 52-week high, while Solara Active Pharma, GE Power India, Neuland Labs, Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Ltd. and Forbes Company touched their new 52-week low during the session.
