IRCTC is set to resume serving cooked meals on all trains, starting February 14. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation had stopped the service in March 2020, owing to the pandemic.
Earlier this year, in January, IRCTC resumed serving fresh meals in 80% of its trains and is now expanding the resumption across the board. The catering service is also providing ready-to-eat meals, which it had started in August 2021.
Both these services are available via the caterer's website, with the food getting delivered to passengers' seats.
