Ugar Sugar Works(up 19.93%), Shree Renuka Sugars(up 9.97%), KCP Sugar & Industries(up 5.52%), Mawana Sugars(up 4.94%), Simbhaoli Sugars(up 4.63%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(up 4.53%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 4.50%), Sakthi Sugars(up 4.00%), Balrampur Chini Mills(up 3.77%) and Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 3.66%) stood among the top gainers.
Ponni Sugars(Erode)(down 2.05%) and Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(down 0.33%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 197.05 points up at 17463.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 657.39 points at 58465.97.
Coal India(up 5.41%), Maruti Suzuki(up 4.07%), IndusInd Bank(up 3.14%), Bajaj Auto(up 3.03%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.94%), Shree Cement(up 2.84%), HDFC Bank(up 2.45%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.18%), Cipla(up 2.13%) and Hero MotoCorp(up 2.13%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.8%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.86%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.48%), ITC(down 0.48%), SBI Life(down 0.48%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.33%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 0.25%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.04%) closed in the red.
