The NSE Nifty index traded 148.35 points down at 17065.25, while BSE Sensex was down 494.18 points at 57127.01 as of 11:05AM(IST)on February 08.
In the Nifty index, Cipla Ltd.(up 0.98 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 0.80 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.41 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.36 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.33 per cent) were among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 2.69 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.21 per cent), State Bank of India(down 2.07 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 1.80 per cent) were among the top losers.
