NEW DELHI: Shares of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. traded 0.09 per cent down in Tuesday's trade at 11:26AM (IST). Around 5,314 shares changed hands on the counter.

The scrip opened at Rs 1425.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1445.0 and Rs 1425.0, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1823.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 1375.55.

As per BSE, the total market cap of the Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. stood at Rs 39133.29 crore at the time of writing this report.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 1285.8 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2021, down 5.38 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 1358.93 crore and down 3.54 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 1241.81 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 252.33 crore, up 1.6 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Dec-2021, domestic institutional investors held 2.86 per cent stake in the firm, while foreign institutional investors held 18.02 per cent and the promoters 0.0 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 36.59 and a price-to-book ratio of 36.38. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
