Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 15.89 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 14.80 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 13.67 crore), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 13.55 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 12.36 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 12.06 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 11.54 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 10.79 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 8.29 crore) and Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 8.21 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 53.15 points up at 17266.75, while BSE Sensex ended up 187.39 points at 57808.58.

On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.99 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.68 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
