Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 11.21 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 8.18 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 7.82 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 7.29 crore), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(number of shares traded: 6.90 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 5.87 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 4.59 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 4.19 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 3.98 crore) and Sintex Inds.(number of shares traded: 3.51 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:00AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 144.75 points down at 17068.85, while BSE Sensex was down 478.12 points at 57143.07 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.42 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 0.40 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.40 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.38 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Tata Motors Ltd.(down 2.67 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.38 per cent), State Bank of India(down 2.19 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent) and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.(down 1.75 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
