Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.58% in a weak market

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.58 per cent down at 11341.15.

Analysts see 15,900 to continue to pose as the immediate resistance.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 10:34AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

TVS Motor Company(up 1.41 per cent), Bharat Forge(up 0.91 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.27 per cent), Eicher Motors(up 0.26 per cent) and MRF(up 0.15 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Tata Motors(down 2.4 per cent), Amara Raja Batteries(down 1.33 per cent), TIINDIA(down 0.99 per cent), Exide Industries(down 0.51 per cent) and Bosch(down 0.41 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Auto index was down 0.58 per cent at 11341.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 93.4 points at 17120.2, while the BSE Sensex was down 305.88 points at 57315.31.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Adani Wilmar Ltd., Reliance Power and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Mahalaxmi Rub, Madhya Bharat Agro, TCPL Packaging, Spectrum Electrical and Imagicaaworld Entert hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Lasa Supergenerics, Sansera Engineering Ltd., Timescan Logistics(India)Ltd., Precision Metaliks Ltd. and Uniinfo Telecom Serv hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
