NEW DELHI: Shares of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. traded 0.18 per cent up in Tuesday's trade at 10:46AM (IST). Around 4,017 shares changed hands on the counter.

The stock opened at Rs 4087.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 4125.0 and Rs 4070.05, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 5899.9 and a 52-week low of Rs 2677.0.

As per BSE, the total market cap of the Avenue Supermarts Ltd. stood at Rs 263712.32 crore at the time of writing this report.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 9243.72 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2021, up 18.26 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 7816.44 crore and up 21.83 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 7587.32 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 552.56 crore, up 23.62 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Dec-2021, DIIs held 6.23 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 9.44 per cent and the promoters 74.99 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 178.23 and a price-to-book ratio of 15.17. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
