ReutersNEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red on Monday amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that rallied over 10% included, Uttam Sugar Mil(14.3%), Shankara Bldg Prod(13.04%), Eveready Ind(11.6%), GNFC(11.42%), Magadh Sugar Energy(11.42%), SIL Investments(11.34%), Ausom Enterprise(11.27%), Ultracab(India)(11.26%), Mawana Sugars(11.06%) and Artemis Medicare Services Ltd.(10.68%).
The 30-share Sensex traded 429.61 points down at 58215.21, while the 50-share Nifty index fell 136.0 points to 17380.3.
In the Nifty 50 index, 11 stocks traded in the green, while 39 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Jyoti Resins, Ugar Sugar Work, Starline Precious, Mahalaxmi Rub and Nahar Industrial hit their fresh 52-week high, while Ujjivan Financial, Jubilant Life, Lupin, Neuland Labs and Superior Finlease touched their new 52-week low in trade.
