    Budget 2022 cryptocurrency tax rules leave little on table for investors: 6 ways crypto investors will be impacted

    When experts looked into the fine print and investors understood the full implications of the rules, it became clear that the tax rules for cryptos were not very favourable to investors.

    At 11.45 am on 1 February, the WazirX crypto token was trading at Rs 64.50, a modest rise of 3% in the past 24 hours. But as soon as Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the proposal to tax gains from crypto trading, the token issued by the WazirX crypto exchange shot up to Rs 84.50, gaining more than 30% in less than 30 minutes.
