Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: RIL(Rs. 383.26 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 274.92 crore), Bank of Baroda(Rs. 143.78 crore), Gland Pharma(Rs. 115.08 crore), SBI(Rs. 113.16 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 84.46 crore), Tata Tele(Rs. 72.29 crore), HDFC(Rs. 65.70 crore), Reliance Power(Rs. 62.99 crore) and Tata Steel(Rs. 62.94 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 302.7 points down at 17213.6, while BSE Sensex fell 1023.63 points to 57621.19.
In the Nifty index, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.88 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.47 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 0.71 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.57 per cent) and Shree Cements Ltd.(up 0.57 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 3.95 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 3.66 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 3.38 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 3.26 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 3.18 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
