The Indian white-ball captain Rohit Sharma will be leading the Indian team for the first time in the capacity of full-time captain in an ODI as the Men in Blue take on West Indies in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Washington Sundar struck twice in the same over and broke the 30 run stand between Brandon King and Darren Bravo to jolt the West Indies. While he got King caught at short-mid-wicket on the second ball, he dismissed Bravo off the last ball of that very over to bring things to a nought for the Windies side. Now, two completely new batters in Nicholas Pooran and Shamarh Brooks are at the crease. Windies score reads 51-3 after 14 overs.
Earlier, India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first.
