Lata Mangeshkar Is No More; The Nightangle Of India Passes Away At 92

Lata Mangeshkar at her age 92, died today in a hospital of Mumbai due to prolonged-illness and Covid complications.

Dream to some of Indian film's most noteworthy writers, beneficiary of the country's most noteworthy non military personnel honor, the Bharat Ratna, and the epitome of Indian gentility on the film screen for more than 50 years, playback singer, the legend Lata Mangeshkar died on Sunday at 8:12 am in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after a delayed ailment, including COVID-19 complications which lead to multi-organ failure.

Born in 28 September 1929 to a Marathi classical singer and theatre actor Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar and his Gujarati wife Shevanti in Indore, Mangeshkar has sung for over seven generations of female actors in India. With her voice she was often described as ‘virginally pure’ and with her playback in Bollywood, she was at top through the 1960s and 70s.

Lata was respected with titles like "Queen of Melody" and "Nightangle Of India".

Having worked with authors as divergent as Anil Biswas, Shankar Jaikishan, Naushad Ali, S.D. Burman, C. Ramchandra, Hemant Kumar, Salil Chowdhury, Khayyam, Ravi, Sajjad Hussain, Roshan, Kalyanji-Anandji, Madan Mohan, and Usha Khanna throughout the following quite a long while, Mangeshkar has the novel differentiation of singing for around seven unique ages of female entertainers (Madhubala and Nimmi during the 1940s, Meena Kumari , Nargis and Nutan during the 50s, Waheeda Rehman, Asha Parekh and Sharmila Tagore during the 60s, Mumtaz, Hema Malini , Jaya Bhaduri and Zeenat Aman during the 70s, Sridevi and Rekha during the 80s, Juhi Chawla, Karisma Kapoor and Manisha Koirala during the 90s and Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor during the 2000s).


Today, Lata Mangeshkar's demise has led India to mourn. Namely politicians, singers, actors, and many have paid homage to her. Prime Minister Narendra Modi to arrive in Mumbai late afternoon (4.30 pm) to pay his respects to Lata Mangeshkar.

When lengendary actor Dilip Kumar provided Lata the Lifetime Achievement Award, it had proved that today she may not be physically present, but her voice will be living forever from generations to generations.
