U19 World Cup Final LIVE: Double blow for India as Rasheed, Dhull depart

Earlier, the boys in blue lost thier highest run scorer of the tournament so far, Angksrish Raghuvanshi in the very first over without any score on the baord. However, post that wicket, Shaik Rasheed, the Indian vice-captain and Harnoor Singh added 49 for the second wicket in 103 balls to get the team back on the path to chase down the total. 

Earlier in the day, the Indian team performed exceedingly well, bowling out England for 189 and setting up a target of 190 runs to win the match and lift it's record fifth World Cup. 

Bawa's five wicket haul

Raj Angad Bawa shone for the Indian side as he picked up a five wicket haul in the U19 World Cup Final to not only eatch his name in the record books, but also rattle the English batting lineup. He picked up the last wicket to complete his five wicket haul after being stuck on four wickets for quite a while as England batters James Rew and David Sales stuck together a frustrating stand. 

The 87 run stand between Rew and tailender Sales provided England some stability and was threatening to take the game away from India before Ravi Kumar struck twice in the 44th over to break the partnership and most importantly remove the dangerman Rew. Rew, who fell short of a hundred, getting out agonisingly on 95, had taken England fropm 96-7 to 184-7, before the team was eventually bowled out for 189.

Earlier, India pacers were on fire as Raj Angad Bawa struck twice in an over and brought the England Under 19 to it's knees. They were reduced to 48-5 at the end of the 14th over. Bawa then went on to remove Rehan Ahmed as his fourth wicket. 

After being asked to field, India went off to a great start as pacer Ravi Kumar struck twice in his first two overs to remove England's best batters thus far in the tournament-Jacob Bethell and Tom Prest. Kumar eventually ended up with four wickets to his kitty. 

England captain Tom Prest won the toss and decided to bat first. Both the teams remained unchanged from thier semi-final encounters.  

While the India U19 team will be looking to win a record fifth title, the most by any team in the history of the 26-year-old tournament, the England U19 team will be looking to make the most of their first-ever final appearance ever since their maiden triumph in 1998.
