The overal deficit of One97 Communications Ltd., the parent of Paytm, augmented in the third quarter. The net loss remained at Rs. 778.4 crore in the quarter end of December, as indicated by its trade filing. If compared, the total deficit was of Rs. 535.5 crore a year earlier.
Income from payment services to vendors remained at Rs. 586 crore, up 117 per cent from a year prior. Income from payment sevices to clients rose 60 per cent year-on-year to Rs. 406 crore.
Absolute direct expenses rose 43 per cent. A large portion of the ascent was driven by a 51 per cent year-on-year expansion in installments handling charges, which remained at Rs 783.1 crore. Gross merchandise rose 123 per cent Y-o-Y to Rs. 2.5 lakh crore.
Paytm's commitment benefit rose 74 per cent successively to Rs 453.7 crore. Also, overall revenue rose to 31.2 per cent from 24 per cent as of September 30.
The organisation dispensed credits worth Rs. 2,181 crore during the quarter, up 73 per cent over the past quarter.
