Live news updates: The Enforcement Directorate Thursday night arrested a nephew of Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, accusing him of involvement in a money laundering case linked to illegal sand mining. Bhupinder Singh Honey was arrested in Jalandhar, PTI reported.
Future Retail has sought two weeks from the Supreme Court to find a solution with lenders on clearing dues and avoid being tagged a non-performing asset (NPA).
Honey was arrested just days ahead of voting for the 117-member Punjab assembly on February 20.
