Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 16.87 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 5.64 crore), ITC(number of shares traded: 3.80 crore), Inventure Grwth(number of shares traded: 2.48 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 2.35 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 2.04 crore), Himadri Speciality(number of shares traded: 1.96 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 1.95 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 1.92 crore) and Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 1.91 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:00AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 1.85 points down at 17558.35, while BSE Sensex was down 27.72 points at 58760.3 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.12 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.83 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.66 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.50 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.43 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.98 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.22 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.10 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent) and Cipla Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
